Barbara Hayashi
Barbara Jane Hayashi of Lawa‘i died May 22, 2010, in Lawa‘i, at age 57. Born on Dec. 14, 1952, in Lewistown Mont., she was a volunteer in many areas.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles Brown and son Douglas Hayashi.
She is survived by her ex-husband Ronald Hayashi; daughter Crystal (Steve) Dorsey of Spanish Fort, Ala.; two grandchildren; mother Margie Ann (George) Salo of Medical Lake, Wash.; sisters Charlotte (Richard) Williams of Des Moines, Wash., Dorothy (Richard) Burbank of Okinawa, Japan, Ginger (Kurt) Hansen of Chinook, Mont., and Molly (Gary) Baltrusch of Havre, Mont.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service at 7 p.m., on Thursday, June 3, at Koloa Missionary Church. Interment at 8:30 a.m., on Friday, June 4, at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), O‘ahu.

Phillip Bonilla
Phillip Bonilla of Kalaheo died May 23, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 80. Born on Jan. 12, 1930, in Koloa, he retired as a machinist for McBryde Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carlmelo and Nuncia Bonilla; brothers John Bonilla and Benny Bonilla; sisters Bella Fernandez, Margret Vera Cruz, Adeline Peterson, Mary Idalor, Helen Garcia and Juanita Figuera.
He is survived by his wife Sophie Bonilla; daughter Jeanette Bonilla; sons Dennis (Gloria) Bonilla, Roy (Edie) Bonilla and Gary Bonilla; brothers Carl Bonilla of Albuquerque, N.M., and Frank (Bea) Bonilla; grandchildren Jeanelle Gay Chow, Christopher Bonilla, Ashley Bonilla, Brittney Bonilla and Cristy Bonilla all of Kaua‘i, and Reece Bonilla and Stephanie Bonilla of Maui; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 8:30 to 10 a.m., service at 10:15 a.m., on Saturday, June 5, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
