Danny Lepley
Danny “Dr. Danny” Lepley of Kapa‘a died May 24, 2010, at his home at age 60. Born on Feb. 23, 1950, in Sheraton, Iowa, he was the owner and operator of the Computer Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Sheri Lepley; daughter Bobbi Phipps; son Scott Vitirittol, brother Virgil Lepley and two granddaughters.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, at Lydgate Beach Park.

David Yu
David Yu of Kapa‘a died March 3, 2010. Born on May 28, 1928, in Kahuku, O‘ahu, he was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his daughter Jessica of San Francisco, and son David George of San Francisco.
Private services and interment were held at Kane‘ohe Veterans Cemetery.
Scott Yatsuoka
Scott Yatsuoka of Honolulu died May 10, 2010, at Queen’s Medical Center at age 57. Born in Waimea, Kaua‘i, he was a retired clerk for City Mill and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his mother Yoshie Yatsuoka; brother Gary (Peggy) Yatsuoka; sister Joyce Coryell, one niece and one nephew.
Private services were held.
Masako Matsumura
Masako Matsumura of Kapa‘a died May 30, 2010, at Garden Isle Healthcare at age 93. Born on Aug. 28, 1916, in Kapahi, she was the former owner of Hotel Coral Reef in Kapa‘a.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ichiji Matsumura and daughter Lois Matsumura.
She is survived by her sons Ronald Matsumura of Kapa‘a, Melvin Matsumura of Lihu‘e, Carl (Faith) Matsumura of Lihu‘e and Dale (Rita) Matsumura of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter Bonnie Matsumura of Kapa‘a; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial service at 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 12, at Kapa‘a Hongwanji Mission.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.

Adam Harju
Adam Harju of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, died April 26, 2010. He was born on June 23, 1969, and lived on Kaua‘i from 2005 to 2008 while he was the managing editor for The Garden Island newspaper.
The family is having a memorial service at 11 a.m., on June 12, in San Diego, where they will be scattering his ashes at one of his surf spots.
Adam’s friends on Kaua‘i will be having a simple memorial at the same time at Hanalei Pier, another of his favorite surf spots.

Barbara Hayashi
Barbara Jane Hayashi of Lawa‘i died May 22, 2010, in Lawa‘i, at age 57. Born on Dec. 14, 1952, in Lewistown, Mont., she was a volunteer in many areas.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles Brown and son Douglas Hayashi.
She is survived by her ex-husband Ronald Hayashi; daughter Crystal (Steve) Dorsey of Spanish Fort, Ala.; two grandchildren; mother Margie Ann (George) Salo of Medical Lake, Wash.; sisters Charlotte (Richard) Williams of Des Moines, Wash., Dorothy (Richard) Burbank of Okinawa, Japan, Ginger (Kurt) Hansen of Chinook, Mont., and Molly (Gary) Baltrusch of Havre, Mont.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service at 7 p.m., on Thursday, June 3, at Koloa Missionary Church. Interment at 8:30 a.m., on Friday, June 4, at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), O‘ahu.

Susan Lindgren of Kapa‘a died May 19, 2010, at her home at age 67. Born on Aug. 11, 1942, in Upland, Calif., she was a yoga instructor.
She is survived by her mother Persis Floyd of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; sister Jane (Carl) Myers of Cambria, Calif.; brother Robert Lindgren of Cambria, Calif.; sister Nancy (Mark) Merrifield of San Simeon, Calif.; three nieces; two grand-nieces; one nephew; and two grand-nephews.
Memorial circle of friends and family at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 5, at Kealia Beach south. Casual or aloha attire is suggested.

Jaron Cadiz Luis of Lihu‘e died May 19, 2010, at his home at age 19. Born on May 12, 1991, in Lihu‘e he graduated from Kaua‘i High School Class of 2009.
He is survived by his parents Hilarion and Elena Luis of Lihu‘e; sister Jaylaneen Luis of Missouri; grandparents Mariano and Rosita Cadiz of Lihu‘e; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Phillip Bonilla
Phillip Bonilla of Kalaheo died May 23, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 80. Born on Jan. 12, 1930, in Koloa, he retired as a machinist for McBryde Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carlmelo and Nuncia Bonilla; brothers John Bonilla and Benny Bonilla; sisters Bella Fernandez, Margret Vera Cruz, Adeline Peterson, Mary Idalor and Helen Garcia.
He is survived by his wife Sophie Bonilla; daughter Jeanette Bonilla; sons Dennis (Gloria) Bonilla, Roy (Edie) Bonilla and Gary Bonilla; brothers Carl Bonilla and Frank (Bea) Bonilla; grandchildren Jenelle Gay Chow, Christopher Bonilla, Ashley Bonilla, Brittney Bonilla and Christy Bonilla all of Kaua‘i, and Reece Bonilla and Stephanie Bonilla of Maui.

Theresa “Terry” R. Fernandes of Wailua Houselots died May 29, 2010, at Mahelona Hospital at age 91. Born on Feb. 17, 1919, in Kapa‘a, she was retired from Woolworth’s Lihu‘e as the personnel manager and buyer.
She was preceded in death by her son Paul Fernandes.
She is survived by her husband George Fernandes; sons George (Marcia) Fernandes of Las Vegas, Michael (Alison) Fernandes of Wailua Houselots, and David (Imelda) Fernandes of Waipouli; daughter JoAnn Yamaguchi of Waipouli; grandchildren Levi Fernandes, Shawn (Melanie) Fernandes, Jocelyn (Chad) Burch, Shendon Yamaguchi, Leland Fernandes, Chelyn Yamaguchi and Danielle Fernandes; great-granddaughter Zoe Fernandes; brother John (Rocky) Rodrigues of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Melvin Corpuz Sr.
Melvin Corpuz Sr. of ‘Ele‘ele died May 21, 2010, at his home at age 65. Born on Nov. 14, 1944, in Lihu‘e, he was a retired operator and truck driver at Koga Engineering and Construction, and a union member with Operating Engineers Local 3.
He was preceded in death by his father Dionicio Corpuz and brother Ronald Corpuz.
He is survived by his wife LaVerne Corpuz; sons Melvin Corpuz Jr. and Lance (Carl-lynn Keoho-Kaui) Corpuz; mother Lorencia Corpuz; granddaughter Zhara-Lei Corpuz; brothers Clarence (Sharon) Corpuz and Milton Corpuz; sisters Christine Pardua, Patricia (Thomas) Rivera and Paula (Harold) Rosa.
