Kenneth Santiago
Kenneth Santiago of Kekaha died May 16, 2010, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 69. Born in Waimea, Kaua‘i, he was a retired mechanical draftsman.
He was preceded in death by his father Fernando Santiago and niece Nancy Divine.
He is survived by his son Dean Santiago of Los Angeles, Calif.; mother Rosita Santiago of Kekaha; sisters Sylvia Divine of Mariposa, Calif. and Cecilia (Tom) Bean of Casa Grande, Ariz.; brothers Richard (Betty) Santiago of Kekaha and Ernesto (Arlene) Santiago of Torrance, Calif.; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were private.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Fidela Yesan
Fidela Yesan of ‘Ele‘ele died May 16, 2010, at her home at age 82. Born on Aug. 27, 1927 in the Philippines, she was a housekeeper for Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort.
She is survived by her sons Pascual (Virginia) Yesan of Kona, and Romeo Yesan of ‘Ele‘ele; daughters Evelyn Frazer of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mila Siapol Diego, of ‘Ele‘ele; siblings Mercedes Urbanez of Kona and Luz Nolasco of San Francisco, Calif.; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 22, at Kaua‘i Veteran’s Cemetery pavilion. Burial to follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Les Navales
Les Navales of Gardena, Calif., died April 15, 2010, in Gardena, Calif., at age 49. Born on Sept. 27, 1960, in Lihu‘e, he was a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his father Charlie Navales.
He is survived by his mother Connie Navales-Maglasang; stepfather Eddie Maglasang; brothers Michael (Joan) Navales of Honolulu and Wendall (Pope) Navales of Koloa; sisters Charlene (Chris) Gammerino of Koloa and Lori (LaFrance) Navales; hanai brother Larry (Brandy) Hanson of California; stepbrothers and stepsisters Monica, Liz, Anson and Baylen Maglasang of California; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial service at 11 a.m., on May 22, at Po‘ipu Beach Park.
Casual attire is suggested.
William Correia
William Correia of Kapa‘a died May 17, 2010, at his home at age 82. Born on Feb. 15, 1928, in Hawai‘i, he was a retired road maintenance worker with the state of Hawai‘i.
He is survived by his sons William (Jane) Correia Jr., Sterling (Douglas) Correia and Reginald (Shelley) Chun; companion Lisa Namuo; two grandchildren; sisters Agnes Cadinha, Sophie Soares and Geraldine Ferreira; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 9:30 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 25, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a.

Rodolfo Bunao
Rodolfo “Rudy” Nicolas Bunao of Hanama‘ulu died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 17, 2010, at age 69. Born on Oct. 6, 1940, in Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, Philippines, he retired as an irrigation supervisor with Lihu‘e Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his father Tiburcio, and brothers Domingo and Sergio.
He is survived by his wife Aurora Bunao of Hanama‘ulu; mother Marcelina Bunao of Puhi; children Ely Bunao of Puhi, Arnold (Kim) Bunao of Lihu‘e, Joe (Shelby) Bunao of Hanama‘ulu, Yulie (Jay) Palenapa of Alabama, Cris (Kristy) Bunao of Wailua, Alice (Joshua) Pajela of Hanama‘ulu; sister Gloria (Teodorico) Gacusan of Puhi; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wake services from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, May 25, at Kaua‘i Veterans Center.
Visitation at 9 a.m., services at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 26, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
