Mark Kekoa Nobrega of Hanapepe died April 8, 2010, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 36. Born on June 3, 1973, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, he was a painter and professional dirt-bike rider.
He is survived by his parents Gilbert and Rosalyn Nobrega; brother Gilbert (Babes) Nobrega; sister Gina “Malia” Nobrega; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 9 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 24, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Hawaiian Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Jurita ‘Jaye’ Mahor
Jurita “Jaye” Mahor of Lihu‘e died Jan. 24, 2010, in Honolulu at age 66. Born on June 14, 1943, in San Francisco, she was a retired school bus driver for Yamaguchi Bus and retired worker at Princeville Hotel.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Jeanne Judkins of Fresno, Calif.
She is survived by her husband Modesto “Modie” Mahor of Kaua‘i; hanai daughter Tracy Kuhaulua of Kaua‘i; siblings Bob (Rose) Judkins, Madelyn (Glenn) Feaver and Carole Judkins; numerous nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, aunties and uncles; and good friend Edna Giles of Sacramento, Calif.
A celebration of life at noon, on Sunday, April 18, at Niumalu Beach Park. Scattering of ashes at a later time.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
Maydene Paik
Maydene Leina‘ala Olanolan Paik of Anahola died April 8, 2010, at her home at age 58. She was born on May 22, 1951, in Waipahu.
She was preceded in death by her son Neil Kimo Keala Paik, and sister Tiare
Clifford Olanolan.
She is survived by her husband James Paik Jr.; sons Troy Paik, James Paik III and Todd Paik; daughter Kim Paik; eight grandchildren; brothers Jacob Maka, Kenneth (Sharon) Olanolan, Michael (Karen) Olanolan, Wendal (Annie) Olanolan, Dexter Chung, Walter Chung Jr., Wesley (Michell) Olanolan, Gregory (Beulah) Olanolan, Nathan (Gail) Olanolan, Ronald Olanolan and Nicacio Gabay; sisters Vivian Olanolan, Sheila (Mackey) Desilva, Debra (June) Manuel and Kathy Olanolan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation at 8:30 a.m., services at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 17, at Hanalei Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
