Council budget review schedule

Following is the schedule of Kaua‘i County Council Budget & Finance Committee reviews of the budgets of the respective county departments, Civil Defense Agency and Kaua‘i Humane Society, which also get county operational funds:

Monday, April 12

• Fire Department, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

• Department of Liquor Control, 11 a.m. to noon

• Civil Defense Agency, 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• Kaua‘i Humane Society, 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

• Department of Personnel Services, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday, April 13

• Police Department, 9 a.m. to noon

• Office of the County Clerk, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.;

• Office of the County Auditor, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, April 15

• County Housing Agency, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.;

• Agency on Elderly Affairs, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

• Transportation Agency (The Kaua‘i Bus), 11 a.m. to noon

• Department of Finance, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

• Planning Department, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Friday, April 16

• Department of Parks & Recreation, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

• Department of Public Works (operating and capital improvement projects budgets), 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Monday, April 19

 Department of Public Works (if necessary), 9 a.m. to noon

• The tentative plan is to hold council decision-making meetings on the budgets on or around May 10 and 11.

All meetings are held at the council chambers in the old Hale Kaua‘i building near Nawiliwili Harbor.
