Warren Perry did his usual outstanding job with the Prince Kuhio Day services, Steven and Karen Matsumoto and Lorna Santos (next Lawai Cannery sale is April 11) did a great job hosting Dennis Onishi and the Piopio Bears, Bruce Pleas and Happy’s ‘ohana had a great Celebration of Life, and the list goes on… mahalo to Lanaly Cabalo for the green bottles!
Gary Furugen is already preparing for the Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday at the Historic County Building, and Marissa Sandblom said there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at the Grove Farm swap meet, Saturday.
Of course Curious George is supposed to make an appearance at the Kukui Grove parent and child event with Cathy Shanks and her crew.
Congratulations to Helaine Perel, Kara Hamada, and the Seattle’s Best crew on the opening of the new cafe at Borders. Seattle’s Best Coffee President Michelle Goss was vacationing here and did the honors with Kara in untying the opening ribbon. Tim Bynum said he celebrates coffee every morning, and George Costa was pleased to meet up with Michelle and her family. Great job to all!
