In accordance with the collective bargaining settlement and to recover energy savings to meet the budget shortfall, Kaua‘i Community College, as well as the rest of the University of Hawai‘i System will be closed to the public during its Spring Break, March 22-25, a news release states.
Exceptions:
— The Health & Wellness Center will be open March 22 and March 24 from noon to 4 p.m., for Family Planning appointments only.
— The Performing Arts Center will be open for previously contracted events.
— For classes with the Office of Continuing Education and Training, consult the KCC webpage for a full description our calendar of classes.
— The Hawai‘i Small Business Development Center Network will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 241-3148 for information or an appointment.
“The UH system has selected dates for closure that are non-instructional,” said Dr. Helen Cox, chancellor of the college. “In addition, we are making sure that time-sensitive, critical services will continue. The faculty, staff, and administration at Kaua‘i Community College have a clear focus on serving our students and members of the Kaua‘i community. Our vigilance will continue as we do our part in addressing budget challenges and personnel contracts.”
