Mandy Correll — along with her service and therapy dog Champy — bring a new elderly care business to Kaua‘i called ‘Ohana Home Care.
Originally from Italy, Correll came to the United States in 1973. She began her own company, Quality Elder Care, in 1990 after several years experience providing in-home care for the elderly.
The elderly are an important nucleus in a family unit and when they get sick and too old to care for themselves, help is needed, according to Correll. This is where her business reportedly steps in.
The business offers specialized care and flexible schedules, with fees to accommodate anyone’s needs. Only caregivers with many years of experience in the field of elderly care are employed with ‘Ohana Home Care, according to a press release.
Correll has a customized plan to meet everyone’s needs and she personally supervises every case, the release goes on to say.
The business teams up with doctors and nurses as well.
