BOISE, Idaho — A bid to the 2010 Western Athletic Conference Tournament will be on the line when the University of Hawai‘i men’s basketball team faces Boise State tonight. Tip-off is 7:05 p.m. MT (4:05 p.m. HT) at the Taco Bell Arena.
The two teams are currently tied for eighth place in the WAC with two regular-season games remaining. The Rainbow Warriors (10-18, 3-11 WAC), who defeated Boise State (13-16, 3-11 WAC) earlier this season in Honolulu, can clinch a WAC Tournament berth with a win over the Broncos.
A Boise State victory would not eliminate the Rainbow Warriors from WAC Tournament contention. However, it would put the ’Bows in a precarious position, including a must-win situation in their season-finale on Saturday, March 6 against an Idaho team that is one game ahead of UH.
