Two of the island’s main auto dealers are set to become one, as Kuhio Motors and Mid-Pac Auto Center are currently negotiating the terms of a merger, according to a person familiar with the negotiations.
While the buy-sell agreement is in place, due diligence is being performed and final approvals from manufacturers are necessary before the deal can be finalized, said a representative of one of the dealers who spoke to The Garden Island on the condition of anonymity due to the unfinished nature of the negotiations.
The representative said it’s not a matter of if but a matter of when, and said more information should be forthcoming soon.
