The Hawai‘i Youth Conservation Corp will have a service day on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens in Lawa‘i.
There will be a member form the staff there as well as up to 25 volunteers from around the community, a news release states.
Most of the work that day will consist of weeding and planting.
Direction to the site: NTBG is at 3530 Papalina Rd. Kalaheo. The site manager will meet everyone promptly at the time specified, then lead the group of vehicles to the parking area. It will be a five minute walk to the site, the release says.
