LIHU‘E — Ulu Ko Park in Lihu‘e will be closed starting Monday while improvements are being made, a county news release states.
The park is expected to reopen in June upon completion of the project.
Among the changes planned for Ulu Ko Park are the following: the installation of fencing around the perimeter and an underground irrigation system; and the establishment of new turf.
The park improvements are being made by Grove Farm, Inc. as a condition of Zoning Ordinance PM 2008-387, which was signed into law in February 2008.
