All but five Post Offices across the state will be open for business today, but 57 offices will shorten their retail lobby hours on that day. Regular mail delivery out of those offices for Christmas Eve will be unaffected by the changes.
Two small postal facilities serving Pearl Harbor Naval Base, the Tripler and Fort Shafter Post Offices, and the Kukuihaele office on the Big Island will be completely closed on Christmas Eve. Those five offices do not provide delivery service.
In order to accommodate customers hoping to pick up mail after retail lobbies close on Christmas Eve, most offices will have normal Will Call operations throughout the afternoon. Specific revised hours will be posted at each Post Office. To obtain the phone number of a specific Post Office, customers may call 1-800-ASK-USPS.
All Post Offices will be closed Friday. Regular Post Office hours and mail delivery will resume on Saturday.
The following Kaua‘i Post Offices will be closing at noon: Anahola, Hanalei, Kalaheo, Kapa‘a and Koloa. The other Kaua‘i offices will be open normal hours, according to a USPS news release.
