LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Police Department is still asking for the public’s help with finding two runaways, though two were found fine over the weekend and another was found Tuesday, a county news release says.
Found were Kawehi Akana, Alika Say and Courtney Say. Still missing are Mikela Mahinai-Gonsalves, 14, and Ruby Octavio, 15.
The Say children are siblings and are of Hawaiian descent.
Mahinai-Gonsalves has not been seen since Oct. 2. She is believed to be on the Westside or possibly in Anahola. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair, is of Native Hawaiian descent and has a tan complexion and a medium build.
Octavio was reported missing on Dec. 8. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and long brown hair, is of Portuguese descent and has a fair complexion and a medium build.
Anyone with information about these juveniles is urged to call KPD dispatch at 241-1711, the KPD Investigative Services Bureau, 241-1696, or Crime Stoppers, 241-1887.
Additionally, family and friends of Octavio and Akana have been passing out flyers with the girls’ pictures on them, asking for anyone with information on Octavio to either call dispatch of Raynette, 639-2229.
