QSI Inc., parent company of Times Supermarkets and Hawai‘i’s third-largest supermarket chain, announced this week the promotion of Bob Stout to the position of president where he will have responsibility for all Times’ day-to-day operations throughout the state. The promotion is effective immediately.
Stout, 54, has been with QSI since 2002 when he joined the company as director of store operations. For the past year, Stout has been deeply involved in Times’ acquisition of Star Markets and its expansion to Maui and Kaua‘i. Stout replaces Quinn, who will continue as chairman and CEO of QSI.
Stout, who first started working in the grocery business in 1972 while still in high school, is a graduate of San Jose State University and lives in Hawai‘i Kai with his wife and son.
