PO‘IPU — Entry fee into the Friday morning Round Robin tennis was a new unwrapped toy at the Po‘ipu Kai courts.
“That was the ticket to play tennis,” said Lupe Noe, coordinator of the Friday play. “We’ve been doing this for four years and all the toys go to Toys for Tots.”
Noe said people wishing to contribute to Toys for Tots can drop off their contribution at the Po‘ipu Kai Tennis Shop from 9 a.m. to noon, and 2 to 6 p.m. daily through Dec. 18.
“This is just a fun way for us to get together and play tennis,” Noe said. “Everyone here is a winner.”
Noe said the players extend their appreciation to the Po‘ipu Kai Tennis Courts for allowing them to play and to Carolyn Kaler, manager of the Po‘ipu Kai Resort.
