Editor’s note: From now through Dec. 24, The Garden Island will share stories of families who could use a little holiday cheer along with an appeal for monetary donations of any size. Funds raised will be distributed to needy families by Zonta Club members, who purchase gift certificates at appropriate businesses to help make these simple wishes come true. Because of logistical limitations, only monetary donations can be accepted.
Polly could use diapers
Polly is a 19-month-old child with vision concerns that are affecting her development. She is currently living with her grandparents as her parents are unable to care for her at this time. Polly receives Early Intervention therapy from Easter Seals. Her grandparents would appreciate any assistance to buy goods, toys and diapers. (D15)

Egan is a 15-month-old child with a medical condition that causes him to have developmental delays. He has just started to walk holding on to furniture. Egan receives Early Intervention therapy from Easter Seals. He lives with mom and dad. Dad recently lost his job with the plantation and this family would appreciate any assistance to buy food, toys and household items. (D16)
Koby would appreciate toys
Koby is a 33-month-old child with a medical condition that causes him to have delays in all areas of development. He has just started to walk holding on to furniture. Koby receives Early Intervention therapy from Easter Seals as well as other services through the Department of Health. He lives with his mom, dad, and seven siblings. This family would appreciate any assistance to buy food, toys, and household items. (D17)
