The meeting will provide a recap of 2009 advertising and public relations plan and will highlight the 2010 marketing plan. The keynote speaker will be Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.
There will be no luncheon this year and there is no cost to attend.

Kaua‘i Energy Conference

Join businesses, government and community leaders and experts in the energy efficiency sector in this one day conference on the latest tools and resources to wisely manage electricity use and discover ways to save green by living green. Learn energy-related and money-saving techniques and how to identify the areas of a home or business where one should focus their energy conservation efforts.
Check out the latest technologies and find out which ones will minimize energy usage while maximizing savings. Also, there will be a chance to win Energy Start rated appliances at the end of the conference.

Kaua‘i Coffee open house
10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday at Kaua‘i
Coffee Visitor Center in Niumalu
Extending a mahalo for recent support, the Kaua‘i Coffee Visitor Center is holding an open house for the community. Kaua‘i Coffee employees will offer free hot and iced coffee tasting, coffee roasting demonstration, self-guided tours and displays about the company’s conservation and energy-sufficiency programs.
Special in-store sale prices will be in effect and weekend purchases will be shipped for free to the mainland and military APOs. Santa is scheduled to appear from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (parents bring cameras). Games (with prizes) will entertain the children, along with a petting zoo and pony rides. Interesting and informational exhibits will be available.
