Stephen Maulhardt
Stephen Wayne Maulhardt of Lihu‘e died Nov. 13, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 55. Born in Cheyenne Wyoming, he was a stone mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Geraldine Maulhardt and sister Teri Maulhardt.
He is survived by his daughter Jenee Maulhardt; brothers Stephan Maulhardt, Jeffrey Maulhardt and Christopher Maulhardt and grandchild Ezra Lynn Worthy.

Brian Suard
Brian Allen Suard of Kapa‘a died Nov. 16, 2009, at Straub Hospital Clinic in Honolulu at age 53. Born on Oct. 9, 1956, in Pacific Palisades, Calif., he was a school bus driver for Akita, farmed sweet corn and worked for the Kaua‘i Historical Society.
He is survived by his mother Marie Suard Fifield, brother Christopher Suard, sister-in-law Molly and ten nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Kaua‘i Historical Society.
Eupreciana Soucy
Eupreciana Soucy died Oct. 17, 2009, in Stockton, Calif., at age 70. Born on Dec. 12, 1938, in Ewa, O‘ahu, she was a post office worker in Oakland, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father Seraphine Javier and mother Margaret Javier.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Soucy; brothers Ernest (Addie) Javier, Ronald (Pam) Javier, Seraphine Javier, Bonifacio Javier and Benjamin Javier; sisters Jospehine (Harry) Lee, Loretta Javier and Bernadette Javier; numerous nieces and nephews.
A service was held on Nov. 12, in Stockton, Calif.
A service on Kaua‘i will be at 4 p.m., on Nov. 28, at Unahe Street in Lihu‘e. Call Ernest at 332-9952 or 346-0820.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
Dennis Marrotte Sr.
Dennis P. Marrotte Sr. of Anahola died Oct. 18, 2009, at his home at age 63. Born on Oct. 26, 1945, in O‘ahu, he was a retired heavy equipment operator with Hawaiian Bitumals.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Noelani Marrotte, parents Lawrence and Sarah Marrotte, sister Geraldine Marrotte-Hawk and brother George Marrotte.
He is survived by his wife Ilene Marrotte; stepmother Del Marrotte; sons Dennis (Kelly) Marrotte Jr., Roy (Tiffany) Marrotte, David Marrotte, Alika Marrotte, Kelii (Karla) Marrotte and Jason Marrotte; daughter Malialani Marrotte; brother Larry Marrotte; hanai brother Kumalae Matthews; sister Gwendolyn Marrotte; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation at 8 a.m., services at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Kapa‘a Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints. Visitation again at 9 a.m., services at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel. Burial to follow at Mililani Cemetery.
The family requests no flowers be sent to Kaua‘i. Flowers are welcome at Mililani Chapel.

Anne Mission Chang-Reis of ‘Oma‘o died on Nov. 22, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age of 77. Born on March 1, 1932, in Pakala, she retired from Wilcox Memorial Hospital as a data clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bartolome Mission and Lorenza Sakulit; siblings Fay Magbee, Raymond Priego and Anita Hunt.
She is survived by her husband Harry Reis of ‘Oma‘o; sons Clyde (Vanessa) Chang of Kapa‘a, Frederick (Bea) Chang of California and Patrick Chang of O‘ahu; sisters Priscilla (Domingo) Ramos of O‘ahu and Dorothy (Arthur) Keale of Waimea; brothers Richard (Maggie) Mission and Francis (Stella) Mission both of Makaweli; two granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 8 to 9:45 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

Marie Visitacion Lorenzo of Lihu‘e died Nov. 17, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 64. Born on May 2, 1945, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was an activity aide with Mahelona Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leandro and Rosa Visitacion; brothers Macario and Pedro Visitacion; sister-in-law Bernarda Visitacion and brother-in-law Marcelo Calma.
She is survived by her husband Jerry P. Lorenzo; son Ryan V. Lorenzo of Aiea; daughter Joann V. Lorenzo of Renton, Wash.; granddaughter Jourdann Marquez; brother Mariano (Letty) Visitacion of Puhi; sisters Melchora (Felix) Daenos of Bacarra, Philippines, Theresa Calma of Hanama‘ulu and Martina (Simeon) Patricio of Kalaheo; sister-in-law Pia Visitacion of Kalaheo.
Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo. Burial at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

Eleanor Thelma Pundyke of Wailua Houselots died Nov. 18, 2009, at her home at age 84. Born on June 21, 1925, in Lihu‘e, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Dorine Sakamoto; parents Joseph and Marie; son-in-law Alfred Hornos Jr.; brother Joseph Castro Jr. and sister Frances Smith.
She is survived by her husband Alfred Pundyke; daughters Pamela (Dominador) Gorospe of Wailua Houselots, Beverly Hornos of Lihu‘e and Bernadette (Hubert) Matsuda of Lihu‘e; sister Marie (Howard) Rosa of Hanama‘ulu; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alfredo Jose Benedictos Ganiron of Kapa‘a died Nov. 9, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 83. Born on April 3, 1926, in Maui, he was a retired surveyor assistant at McBryde Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucia Masulti Ganiron and parents Nicomedes and Basilia Ganiron.

Patrick “Pat” Ross Castelo of Wailua Homesteads died Nov. 18, 2009, at his home at age 47. Born on March 17, 1962, in Lihu‘e, he worked at Tradewinds – A South Seas Bar.
He was preceded in death by his father John Castelo Sr.
He is survived by his mother Rose Castelo of Wailua Homesteads; brothers John (Donna) Castelo Jr. of Baltimore, Alvin “Bino” (Katherine Moyes) Castelo of Kilauea; nephew Luca Castelo; nieces Lola Castelo, Sakile Fraser Castelo, Laakea Castelo; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
