LIHU‘E — As part of its ongoing effort to review the possibility of changing the existing structure of county government, the Charter Review Commission has scheduled a panel discussion on government structures in Hawai‘i next week, a county news release says.
The event will be at 6 p.m., Nov. 18, at the War Memorial Convention Hall.
Panelists include: David Callies, a law professor at the University of Hawai‘i; John Whalen, president of PlanPacific, Inc. and former member of the Honolulu Charter Commission; and Jan Tenbruggencate, a communications consultant and former Kaua‘i bureau chief for The Honolulu Advertiser.
The discussion will be moderated by former radio executive Bill Dahle and Kaua‘i Planning and Action Alliance President and CEO Diane Zachary.
A question and answer session will follow the panel discussion.
Those unable to attend the event will be able to watch it on Hoike, channel 53, at a later date.
