Jeffery Silva
Jeffery John Silva of Kalaheo died Oct. 29, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 56. Born on Nov. 6, 1952 in Kaua‘i, he was a carpenter and self employed craftsman.
He was preceded in death by his brother Russell Silva and father Antone Silva.
He is survived by his wife Adele Silva; sons Blaise (Kimberly) Silva and Sterling (Ruth Ann) Silva; mother Laura Silva; brother Randy (Nani) Silva; sister Audrey (Gene Mendes) Silva; Laureen (Howard) Ranis and four grandchildren.
Private services were held at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Crisanto Agustin Sr.
Crisanto B. Agustin Sr. of Hanama‘ulu died Oct. 26, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 94. Born on Oct. 25, 1915, in Camiling Tarlac, Philippines, he retired from Kaua‘i Surf as a groundskeeper.
He was preceded in death by his son Crisanto.
He is survived by his wife Petronila; children Rudolfo (Luz) Agustin of Puhi, Remedios (Paulino) Arellano of Koloa, Perla (Adolfo) Yago of Hanama‘ulu, Estela (Ferdinand) Caoagas of Wailua, Evelyn (Bill) Villasin of San Diego, Leticia (Lee) Dooney of California, daughter-in-law Alanna Agustin of Hanama‘ulu; brothers Cristito Agustin and Alfonso (Francisca) Agustin both of the Philippines; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wake service from 6 to 9 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall. Viewing from 8 to 9:45 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 9 at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens at 11:15 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested.

Florencia Bergonia of Hanama‘ulu died Oct. 19, 2009, at her home at age 76. Born on March 17, 1933, in Kealia, she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her father Felix Pascua; mother Emelia Valeti; daughters Frances Bergonia and Frieda Bergonia; brothers Florendo and Julio Pascua and sister Crispina Bisquera.
She is survived by her husband Frederico Bergonia of Hanama‘ulu; son Frederick (Germaline) Bergonia of Hanama‘ulu; two grandchildren; sister Lourdes Sauer of Kailua; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 8 to 10 a.m., service at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested.

Preston Ramson
Preston Lee Makana Ramson of Kalaheo died Oct. 28, 2009, at age 21. Born on Feb. 2, 1988, on O‘ahu, he was a banquet server for the Kaua‘i Marriott Resort and Beach Club.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paddy and Louisa Puli Ramson.
He is survived by his parents Gina Medeiros Ramson and Paddy (Aileen) Ramson; brother Skyler Ramson; stepsister Chassity Acoba; stepbrother Darren Acoba; grandparents Ernest and Gloria Medeiros; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Visitation at 8 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Kalapaki Beach Park. Service and scattering of ashes to follow.

Harry Otsuka
Harry H. Otsuka of Lihu‘e died Oct. 29, 2009, at his home at age 85. Born March 7, 1924, in Kapa‘a, he was the president and general manager with Kaua‘i Beverage and Ice Cream Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents Suekichi and Shige Otsuka; brothers Wallace Otsuka Sr. and Juichi Otsuka; sisters Florence Hoshibata and Sadako Kawamoto.
He is survived by his wife Kaoyo W. Otsuka; daughters Lisa (Russell) A.O. Shimazu of Lihu‘e and Lori J. Otsuka (Russ K. Nakamura) of Lihu‘e; grandchildren Brent (Nicole) H. Shimazu and Holly K. Shimazu; two great-grandchildren; brother Jitsuo Otsuka of California; sisters Eiko Watanabe of Honolulu and Masayo Tone of Kapa‘a; numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m., service at 4 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Lihu‘e Christian Church.
