Harry H. Otsuka of Lihu‘e died Oct. 29, 2009, at his home at age 85. Born March 7, 1924, in Kapa‘a, he was the president and general manager with Kaua‘i Beverage and Ice Cream Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents Suekichi and Shige Otsuka; brothers Wallace Otsuka Sr. and Juichi Otsuka; sisters Florence Hoshibata and Sadako Kawamoto.
He is survived by his wife Kaoyo W. Otsuka; daughters Lisa (Russell) A.O. Shimazu of Lihu‘e and Lori (Russ K. Nakamura) J. Otsuka of Lihu‘e; grandchildren Brent (Nicole) H. Shimazu and Holly K. Shimazu; two great-grandchildren; brother Jitsuo Otsuka of California; sisters Eiko Watanabe of Honolulu and Masayo Tone of Kapa‘a; numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 3 to 4 p.m., service at 4 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Lihu‘e Christian Church.
Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary Ltd.
