KAPA‘A — The Kapa‘a swimming pool will be closed to the public from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 10 to accommodate a Mokihana Aquatics Club timed trial, according to a county press release. The pool will re-open for public use from noon to 4 pm.
“We ask for the public’s understanding about this as timed trials provide our young people with the opportunity to record qualifying times in order to compete in state and national swim meets,” said Cindy Duterte, head of the recreation/programs section of the Department of Parks and Recreation, in the release.
The normal operating hours for the Kapa‘a pool are: Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 4:30 p.m.
The pool is closed on Mondays.
