Larry Richardson is excited about how the Kaua‘i boys have gotten to the point where they are earning awards for their Kaua‘i Sea Scout program. Kaua‘i Police Chief Darryl Perry and Lt. Gordon Hood of the USCG will be presenting the boys with their medals at tonight’s Scouts’ meeting. Larry said Kaua‘i has the only Sea Scout program in Hawai‘i.
Marie Yadao is excited because Kaimana Alquiza-Pereira had a perfect game in Arizona. Kaimana, or Mana as everyone calls him, was joined by Dallas Correa (no wonder he wasn’t on the sidelines, Friday night) at a baseball tournament where the team they played for finished second.
Marie and Stan have been pretty busy with sports because they were at the Pop Warner games in Hanapepe as well … go take in some Koloa games so you can hear Gail Thompson do the announcing. She does football just like she does cheer competition which falls on Oct. 11 at Kapa‘a High School gym starting at 10 a.m. Are Billy DeCosta’s mama cheerleaders going to be ready?
OK, it’s off to check out coach Brad Hiranaka and the second American Youth Football game of this year, and then, off to Kapa‘a for KIF volleyball.
