The American Youth Football program is hosting its next game Wednesday afternoon starting at 5:30 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
Admission for the game is $2 at the gate.
The game will feature the Lihu‘e Bulldogs against Kapa‘a Na Koa.
When the AYF league hosted its first game two Wednesdays ago, Lenny Rapozo, one of the referees for the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation football program, noted that having a Wednesday game was a pleasant way to split the weekend, allowing fans to enjoy football games during the week.
Apparently, that was proved correct as a good number of fans filled the stadium to watch Na Koa edge out Lihu‘e in that opener.
Tina Albao, the AYF treasurer, said that the league president, Brad Hiranaka, is looking for coaches in order to expand the program island-wide for next year.
Interested people can contact Hiranaka at 652-9962.
