LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Academy of Creative Arts will be offering a creative one-week program during fall break from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 5 through 9 at the Island School.
The program is open to ages 6 (currently enrolled in first grade) and up. Tuition $115.
All students will attend three classes that include music, dance and painting.
“Jammin’ with Sam” will be taught by Sam Alfiler. Students will choose their instrument and learn technique.
Jennifer Bell-Grey will teach hip-hop, a funky dance class filled with the latest popular dance steps and music.
“Paint, Scratch and Draw,” a creative painting techniques will be taught by Derek Glaskin. Simple lesson in creative utilization of color, line and form. Each student will create an original painting on canvas depicting the ‘aina.
