The Saturday Picnic in the Park and parade was green, said Keli‘i Alapai who was wearing his Blackwater International fishing shirt along with Miles Pacheco.
Gary Pacheco wasn’t at that Kilauea thingie, but Bill Troutman (who got to sit on the dunking booth) was, and knew the shortcut to the park from the school. Gary is going to be at the blessing of the project to cut the albesia trees alongside the highway, but unfortunately, the Camper has to be at Kaua‘i Foreign Cars for another appointment.
Donna Schulze said parking doesn’t always have to be at the blue house; there’s parking at the lavender house. But there wasn’t any need for that since there was tons of parking at the park, and David Simon got to go check out the bouncers and water features before coming to work.
Josie Pablo and her crew had a ton of stuff at the Mahelona Hospital rummage sale, Saturday, but had no problem getting things sold.
Elaine Morita said you just fill a box and pay a couple of bucks for all the stuff in the box. Some of the proceeds will be used to help subsidize the hospital’s float in the Lights on Rice parade, Josie said.
