Wan Eai Song
Wan Eai Song of Kapa‘a died Aug. 29, 2009, at his home at age 83. Born on Aug. 3, 1926, in Kapa‘a, he retired as a heavy equipment operator for Brewer Chemical.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Song; brother Chuneu (Rosa) Song; sisters Tamie Roberts, Hongnum Nix and Hongnang Mortia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 4, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery at 11 a.m.
Ilse Normile
Ilse S. Normile of Princeville died Aug. 18, 2009, at her home at age 82. Born on Aug. 11, 1927, in Germany, she was the president of Yellow Cab in Des Moines, Iowa.
She is survived by her daughters Leslie M. Normile and Iika Normile and one granddaughter.
Services were private.

Fumiye Nakamura
Fumiye Nakamura of Anahola died Aug. 28, 2009, at Garden Isle Health Care at age 87. Born on Nov. 14, 1921, in Lihu‘e, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons Roy (Nancy) Nakamura of Kaneohe, O‘ahu and Calvin (Phyllis) Nakamura of Lihu‘e; daughter Carolyn Nakamura of Kapa‘a; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation at 4 p.m., service at 5 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Kapa‘a Hongwanji.

Kiyoko Takatsuki
Kiyoko Takatsuki of Wailua Houselots died Aug. 7, 2009, at Garden Island Health Care at age 88. Born on Feb. 10, 1921, in Huliea, she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband Masao Takatsuki.
She is survived by her sons Dennis Takatsuki of Honolulu and Thomas Takatsuki of Kaua‘i; daughters Shirley (Stephen) of San Diego, Calif., Sharon (Ray Rathbun) Takatsuki of Rock Springs, Wyo. and Faith (Curtis) Tanaka of Honolulu; one grandchild; brothers Masaaki Okamuro and Takashi Okamuro of Honolulu; sisters Yukiko Trent of Honolulu, Yoshie Matsumoto of Honolulu, Michiko Hanagami of California and Fumie Okamuro of California; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were private.

Haruo Morita
Haruo Morita of Gardena, Calif., died Aug. 27, 2009, at Transitional Care Manor at age 86. Born on March 27, 1923, in Kaua‘i, he worked for an automotive body repair shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hajima and Daisy Morita.
He is survived by his wife Daisy Morita, daughter Gail (Ted) Ike, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, siblings Kaoru (Phyllis) Morita, Mabel Senda and William (Sanae) Morita.
Service at 11 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 4, at Faith United Methodist Church in California. Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted. Koden may be sent to Family of Haruo Morita, c/o Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Antone Baptiste
Antone “Tony” Baptiste of Kilauea died Aug. 26, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 94. Born on Aug. 7, 1915, in Kilauea, he retired as an electrician with Kilauea Sugar Plantation.
He is survived by his sister, Beatrice (Arthur) Rego of O‘ahu and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at St. Sylvester Church with viewing from 9 to 9:45 a.m., and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens at 11:45 a.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Baptiste family with arrangements.
