Church donates quilts for patients and caregivers

The Quilting Ministry of the North Shore Christian Church of Kilauea, Ho‘onani I Ke Akua (A Gift that Glorifies God) recently presented 41 quilts to Kaua‘i Hospice to be given to patients and their caregivers, a news release states. The

The beautiful quilts of many custom designs were handmade in several different sizes, the release says.

This is the fifth year for this ministry and the group has made presentations previously to senior citizens groups, YWCA Center for Abused Women, and Hale ‘Opio for teens.

Catie Burns is the coordinator and the ministry was founded by Georgia Poppin several years ago.
