LIHU‘E — The five HI-5 bottle redemption centers operated by Kaua‘i Community Recycling Service will be closed for maintenance Wednesday through July 28 including: Hanalei, Kekaha, Kilauea, Koloa, and Lihu‘e (O‘ihana Street), a county news release said Tuesday.
Normal operating hours at these sites will resume on July 29.
Those wanting to redeem their HI-5 beverage containers during the closures are encouraged to visit other bottle redemption sites around the island including: Kapahi, located at 5675B Kawaihau Rd. behind Menehune Food Mart; Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i Resource Center, 3460 Ahukini Rd.; Nawiliwili, intersection of Wilcox Rd. and Kanoa St. near the old Hale Kaua‘i; and Lawa‘i, next to the Lawa‘i Post Office.
