Jeffery Serquina of Kalaheo died on June 11, 2009 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 47. He was born Nov. 19, 1960, on Kaua‘i.
He was preceded in death by brother Noel Ray Serquina Sr.
He is survived by wife Franciana Serquina of Honolulu; companion Michelle Hasegawa; sons Brandon Serquina of Los Angeles, Justin Carineo of Hanapepe, Travis Serquina of O‘ahu; daughters LeiLyn Tootie Serquina of Las Vegas, Zylynn Serquina of Hanapepe; brothers Edward Serquina of Lihu‘e, Erwin Serquina of California, Andrew Lee Serquina of California; sisters Anita Linda Kruse of Kentucky, Betty Jean Matias of Hilo and Mary Evelyn Serquina of Connecticut.
Service from 9 a.m.-noon, on Friday, June 19 at Salt Pond Pavilion 3.

Lily Higashi
Lily R. Higashi of Kapa‘a died on June 2, 2009 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 87. Born on Feb. 12, 1922 in Hawai‘i, she was a retired registered nurse at Samual Mahelona Hospital.
She is survived by husband Jack Higashi, daughters Avis (Orlando) Anaya, Rene (Tommy) Tokuda and son Todd Higashi.
Private services were held.

Hisao Munechika
Hisao Munechika of Waimea died on May 31, 2009 at Nanamua Hale at age 83. Born on March 9, 1926 in Pakala, he was a veteran, commissioner for the Department of Land and Natural Resources and proprietor of Kitamura Fish Market and Munechika Ice.
He was preceded in death by parents Kosaku Munechika and Masako Munechika-Kitamura, wife Sumiyo Munechika and sister Amy Awtry.
He is survived by son Ken K. Munechika of Honolulu; daughter Karen Hatley of Spokane, Wash.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers Yukimitsu Munechika of Japan, Noboru (Michie) Munechika of Puhi, Maurice (Judy) Munechika of Lihu‘e, Ken (Grace) Munechika of Aiea, George (Beryl) Kitamura of Arizona, James (Susie) Kitamura of Kekaha, Lawrence (Sharon) Kitamura of Waimea, Kaua‘i; sisters Edith Iwami of Honolulu, Amelia Uyehara of Los Angeles, Calif. and Linda Yasutake of Honolulu.
Visitation from 3-4 p.m., service at 4 p.m., on June 20, at Waimea Honpa Hongwanji Mission.
Casual attire is suggested; flowers are omitted.
