County of Kaua‘i hosts community meeting

Melissa L. Pang Ching, Hawai‘i Acting State Director for USDA Rural Development, recently announced a scheduled community meeting to discuss agency funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The meeting is being hosted by the County of Kaua‘i, Office of Economic Development.
• Rural Development staff will provide information on the different USDA Rural Development programs that have ARRA funding. Programs being covered include business and industry guaranteed loans; rural business enterprise grants; community facility direct loans, grants, and combinations; water and waste direct loans, grants and combinations; single family housing direct and guaranteed loans; and broadband loans and grants.
