Two of the three Angel teams rule the roost heading into the Kaua‘i Soccer Association spring season playoff games starting Saturday from 8 a.m. at the North Vidinha fields.
The girls under 12 Kaua‘i Soccer Club-Blazing Angels finished the regular season with a 10-0-0 record and 30 points, while the GU18 KSC-Na Anela end with a 7-0-1 record and 21 points. The KSC-Blazing Angels in the GU10 division are in third place with a 6-3-1 record and 19 points.
Kaua‘i Sparks and Hilina‘i are tied for the lead in that division with 8-1-1 records and 25 points. Because Hilina‘i took the head-to-head meeting, they are the No. 1 seed.
Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i is undefeated in the GU14 division for the top seed after ending its season with an 8-0-0 record and 24 points.
The Hanalei Poi Boyz and the Westside Falcons BU8 finished in a tie for the division lead with 7-1-0 records and 21 points. Because of their head-to-head meetings, the Falcons gained the No. 1 seed in the single-elimination playoffs.
Westside Falcons BU10 finish 9-0-1 and 28 points for the top spot of the BU10 division, sharing that honor with the Westside Falcons BU12 squad that tops its division with a perfect 8-0-0 record and 24 points.
The Eastside Lightning are undefeated in the BU14 division with a 10-0-0 record and 30 points followed by GIFC at 5-4-1 and 16 points.
Team Motiv-8 and Northshore are deadlocked for the lead in the BU18 division with each team finishing with 6-2-0 records and 18 points. They play Sunday, with the winner getting No. 1 seed Northshore next weekend
KSA will start its playoffs this weekend at the North Vidinha fields, Saturday from 8 a.m. The older divisions will play Sunday at Vidinha Stadium and the North Vidinha fields, starting at noon.
Winners from this weekend’s play move onto the championship games, next Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10.
