Kaua‘i United Way held its 65th annual meeting and mahalo celebration last week at Duke’s Canoe Club. KONG Radio’s Ron Wiley announced the results of the 2008 annual campaign that raised $614,711.
By a vote of her peers, Barbara Nagamine of KIUC was announced as winner of the prestigious Founders Award which goes annually to the board member who exemplifies the spirit of the founders of Kaua‘i United Way.
Executive Director Scott Giarman thanked corporate donors and especially the thousands of working people who annually give a few dollars per paycheck for ensuring that the dozens of social service programs supported by Kaua‘i United Way will receive.
