The sessions are for third to fifth grade students from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $30 per day with scholarships available. Sign up deadline is Monday. Papa Leon Gonsalves family reunion

Descendants who came from Yauco, Puerto Rico in the early 1900’s are invited to a reunion to be held at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center. Contact Leon Gonsalves, 639- 0356 or e-mail angus4590puuwai@msn.com. Family will be coming from several islands and from as far away as Germany. Come see who you are related to and how you are related. The last gathering of the Gonsalves clan was 1988. May 29 registration begins at 5:45 p.m. followed by cocktails and pupu. Music provided by Los Kauaiano’s. There will be a golf tournament May 30 and a dinner in Kekaha that night. May 31 will open with mass at St. Theresa’s Church. There will be a visit to the cemetery and a picnic lunch in the afternoon.
Kaua‘i Students make honor roll at Oregon State University
A total of 577 students earned straight As (4.0). Another 2,651 earned a B plus (3.5) or better to make the listing. To be on the honor roll students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work. Congratulations to Kalaheo residents Royce Overlock, a sophomore in General Science and William A. Wright, a senior studying American Studies; and also Kekaha resident Puanani J. Hee, a senior in Psychology.
