Happy birthday to Judy Lenthall, who celebrated her special day wearing green and getting some food for the Kaua‘i Food Bank from Wilcox Hospital. Kudos to Rene Cottingham for doing a great job with the green cookies, edamame (one of Judy’s faves) and green punch!
Jerry Schwartz of the Hilton Kaua‘i Beach Resort (Tad Miura Jr. said he knows where he’s going to eat next) really stepped up to the plate when he accommodated the Kapa‘a High School Virtual Enterprise program, Tuesday night. He, along with Michael Allen Drake, also took in the blessing of the Mayor’s Aloha Garden (Bev Brody got to meet more Canadians) earlier in the afternoon.
Congratulations to Kapa‘a High School Economics teacher Chris Farinas on her second successful year with the program! The students all did a masterful job with their respective presentations.
Todd Harrison, VP for Kapa‘a High School, is trying to get other schools motivated into checking out the program so maybe one day, Hawai‘i can host a Virtual Enterprise Trade Show.
Congratulations to Caralyn Broyles and Rachel Wright on being the recipients of the Navy League scholarships! Hats off to Billy Gibson and the KCC Fine Dining crew for hosting the Navy League who also presented a token of its appreciation to the KCC culinary arts program.
