The 7th Annual Mokihana Club’s Women’s Golf Scramble is scheduled for 8 a.m. April 4 at the Marriott’s Kaua‘i Lagoons Golf Course. Proceeds from the event support the Mokihana Club’s nursing scholarships at Kaua‘i Community College. The scholarships were created for nursing students on Kaua‘i in an effort to increase the nursing workforce on Kaua‘i. Over the past six years, the Mokihana Club has donated $46,000 in nursing scholarships to KCC students.
Reservations for the Golf Scramble are necessary. No handicap is required and individual golfers will be placed on a team. There is a $95 entry fee that includes green fees, cart, registration gift and lunch at Duke’s. In addition, there will be drawings for special gifts at the luncheon. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams.
Registration on the day of the event will open at 7 a.m. with the shotgun start at 8 a.m. Golfers can purchase Mulligans and Closest to the Pin on par 3’s when registering.
Different levels of sponsorship are available for those who wish to support the nursing scholarship program. Sponsors will be recognized for their contributions as Birdie (up to $100), Eagle ($100 – $249), Bronze ($250 – $749), Gold ($750 – $1499) or Platinum ($1500 – $2000). Hole sponsorships are also available for $150.
