Clary Younge
Clary Theresa Willis Younge of Kaua‘i and Florida died March 6, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 57. Born March 4, 1952, in Alabama, she was an educator.
She is survived by parents Theodis and Lubertha Willis, husband Stephen T. Younge, son Sammy Younge III and five siblings.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Alabama.
Stephen Wowkanyn
Stephen Wowkanyn of Hanalei died March 8, 2009, in Linden, N.J., at age 41. Born March 28, 1967, in Elizabeth, N.J., he was the manager of Evolve Gallery.
He was preceded in death by father Edward Wowkanyn and sister Lynn Wowkanyn.
He is survived by mother Mary Wowkanyn, brother Edward Wowkanyn and sister Stephanie (Matthew) Schwartz.
Service at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home in Linden, N.J. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Adalbert R.C. Church.
Felipe Bigno
Felipe A. Bigno of ‘Ele‘ele died March 2, 2009, at his residence at age 86. Born May 26, 1922, in Makaweli, he was a retired Irrigation supervisor with Olokele Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by parents Dionisio and Columba Bigno, and brother Anatacio Bigno.
He is survived by wife Caroline “Loretta” Bigno; son Raynard Bigno of Idaho; daughters Priscilla (Eddie) Bowen of Dallas, Texas, Myra (Dean) Mayer of ‘Oma‘o, Karen (Wendel) Ishida of Kalaheo; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Marcelino Bigno and Andy (Della) Bigno both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Victor (Josephine) Bigno of Puhi; and sister Nina Dacay of Puhi.
Visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo; program and Mass to follow.
The family requests flowers be omitted.

Angeline Sabog
Angeline Kim Sabog of Puhi died Feb. 27, 2009, at Hawaii Medical West in Honolulu at age 87. Born Feb. 5, 1922, in Honolulu, she retired as a janitor from Kamehameha School, Kapalama Campus.
She was preceded in death by husband Pedro Lorenzo Sabog and son Thomas Sabog.
She is survived by son Albert Sabog of O‘ahu; daughters Virginia (Larry) Hagmoc of Honolulu, Betty Anne (Tony) Bernabe of Puhi, Anna (Gary) Steffen of New York and Patricia (Karl) Yogi of O‘ahu; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and niece Lani (Dick) Murphy of New Hampshire.
Visitation from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Lihue Lutheran Church. Mass 10-11 a.m.

Thomas Rodrigues
Thomas Melendres Rodrigues Sr. of ‘Ele‘ele died March 6, 2009, at his home at age 85. Born Dec. 29, 1923, in Lawa‘i, he was a retired clerk for McBryde Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by sons Thomas Rodrigues Jr. and Jimmy Rodrigues, and sister Mary Rodrigues.
He is survived by wife Mary Ann Rodrigues; daughters Rena (Patrick) Agoto and Kelley (Bradley) Hofstetter of Hill AFB, Utah; son Billy (Kaleki) Rodrigues; grandchildren Bobilee Valentin, Delcie Ridgley, Lahela Rodrigues, Scott (Amber) Rodrigues of Anchorage, Alaska; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 13, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

Philip Palama Jr.
Philip Kauaiiki Palama Jr. of Kalaheo died March 8, 2009, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 79. Born April 17, 1929, in Kukuiolono Park, Kalaheo, he was a college administrator.
He was preceded in death by parents Philip and Hisako Palama Sr., and son Philip K. Palama III.
He is survived by wife Patricia M. Palama; children Steven (Darlene) Palama of Waimea, Pennie Palama of Nevada, Kathy Palama of Hanapepe, Carrie Palama of Kalaheo; sisters Iris Hornstine of Kalaheo and Kauulei Ihara of O‘ahu; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, at Kukuiolono Park Clubhouse.
Casual and aloha attire is suggested.

Emilio S. Bayudan died March 9, 2009, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 35. Born June 7, 1973, in Waimea, he was a scientist with Syngenta Seeds.
He is survived by wife Gina, daughter Tiffany Bayudan, parents Emilio and Zenaida Bayudan, and brothers Nelson Bayudan and Melvin (Renee) Bayudan.
Visitation from 8-9 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha; Mass at 10 a.m.

Maria Antonio Salud of Hanama‘ulu died March 8, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 79. Born Oct. 18, 1929, in the Philippines, she was a school teacher in the Philippines and housekeeper at Sheraton Coconut Beach Hotel in Kaua‘i.
She was preceded in death by husband Pedro O. Salud.
She is survived by sons Ben (Imelda) Salud and Rudy (Shandra) Salud; granddaughters Chelsea, Gabrielle-Alyssa and Keilee Salud; grandsons Christopher, Cheydon “CJ,” and Kalani; great-grandson Caleb Cummings; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
