Kapa‘a PW accepting applications
Kapa‘a Pop Warner Association is accepting applications for head coaching positions for its Football and Cheer Program. Applications are available from association president Akala Aiwohi or cheer coordinator Trisha Kamoku.
Completed applications and copy of ID must be received by Jan. 20 by Aiwohi or Kamoku or mailed to KPWA, P.O. Box 605, Kapa‘a, HI 96746.
Notifications will be made within seven days after deadline. Call Aiwohi at 635-0088 or Kamoku at 635-5623 with any questions.
KAGRA rodeo, Sunday
The Kaua‘i All Girl Rodeo Association will host its first rodeo this Sunday at the CJM Country Stables in Po‘ipu starting at 10 a.m.
Sunday’s rodeo will mark the start of the KAGRA’s 10th anniversary.
Melissa Ornellas takes the reins as the KAGRA president, Coralyn Murayama is the vice president, Corinna Vasconcelles is the rodeo secretary, Tami Yamamoto is the recording secretary and Cindy Weeks will serve her second year as the KAGRA treasurer.
Six events, including goat tying, is on the rodeo agenda. Events include dally team, breakaway, steer undecorating, pole bending and barrel racing.
There is no charge to view the competition at the CJM Country Stables.
Kekaha Youth Baseball announces registration
The Kekaha Youth Baseball Association will hold registration for its upcoming season Mustang, Bronco and Pony Divisions from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 22, 23, 26, 29 and 30 at the Kekaha Park.
Parents must have their child’s birth certificate and medical insurance cards. Registration is $85.
