‘ELE‘ELE — Construction of a concrete walkway at the ‘Ele‘ele Nani Park is scheduled to start next Wednesday.
During the construction, the park will be closed to the public and will reopen in June upon completion of the project, a release from the county Parks and Recreation Department states.
“I am pleased that construction of the walkway is scheduled to start soon,” said Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.
“During the planning phase for the park, members of the ‘Ele‘ele community sat down with us and provided input on what they’d like to see at their neighborhood park. The walkway, which will connect all of the elements of the park, was their No. 1 priority.”
BCP Construction of Hawai‘i, Inc. was awarded a $356,500 contract for the ‘Ele‘ele Nani Park project.
