Spot lights illuminate the home of Mary, the Inn and stable, as well as the hillside where the shepherds and angles receive the message of the birth of Christ. All community children are invited to participate as the events of the birth of Christ are narrated by Pastor Glenn Frazier against a background of choral music.
Chairs and a tent will be available adjacent to the gazebo or people can bring their own lawn chairs. Children wishing to participate simply come to the community hall where they will be fitted with halos, wings or shepherd costumes.
The various sets illustrate the different chapters of the biblical story of Christmas and include both live costumed actors and live animals (dogs, goats, horses and maybe a chicken or two).
Show times are 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; 6:30 p.m. Sunday; and a 7:30 p.m. presentation of, “The Shepherd’s Play” in the church sanctuary.
