At 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Kapa‘a Middle School covered court, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade choir members, plus the ukulele band will perform at no cost for the community. Loke Sasil and Anson Lardizabla will direct the ukulele band with Mary Lardizabal directing the choir.
Arrive by 5:30 p.m. to the cafeteria for the Home Economics Department’s feast of Hawaiian stew and sweet dinner rolls. These are just two of the recipes featured in the school’s recently published cookbook. The $3 cost of the cookbook benefits the Home Economics Department. The choir and ukulele band members will have a silent auction and country booth to help defray the cost of the Heritage Music Festival scheduled for March 2009.
