The winner of last week’s challenge, of course, went to one of the few faithful who picked Hawai‘i to beat No. 22 Fresno State. (The one time I didn’t pick them to win.) But congratulations to Raymond Keamohali of Lihu‘e

But congratulations to Raymond Keamohali of Lihu‘e for going 11-for-13 and whose two blemishes were the Oregon State/Utah and Auburn/Vanderbilt game. For that, Keamohali won $50 in prize money.
Radio personality Ron Wiley (8-5, 30-22) beat me by one. I finished 7-6, but am still in the lead at 31-21. Poor Richard Stein, our Web master, fell to 3-10. A staunch football fan, he just hasn’t caught a good break yet. He’s currently at the bottom, 24-28. He joked that he would just use the same picks as mine, but where would the fun be in that?
This week, TGI welcomes Kaipo Blake of Lawa‘i to the panel. He’s a first-time panelist with us and from the looks of it, his NFL picks are looking pretty good.
I’m most excited for the Monday night game: New York Giants versus the Cleveland Browns. My former track teammate Plaxico Burress returns to the lineup after his two-week suspension and that can only mean good things for the team. Eli Manning’s my Fantasy Football quarterback, Burress is my main receiver, Brandon Jacobs is my star running back and Justin Tuck is my defensive player.
Associated Press NFL writer Dave Goldberg reported that the Browns want “revenge” on the Giants for beating them 30-7 during the preseason, but regardless of how hard they play, the Giants are still projected to win 30-3.
Aside from the Washington Redskins, I just don’t think anyone is playing any better.
