AARP offers safe driving course

The AARP Safe Driving Course is being offered Oct. 18.

The class is mainly directed toward people age 50 and over, but there have been students as young as 18.

It usually results in a discount on auto insurance for the people who complete the course. The class is good for three years of discounts. You must attend both classes to obtain a completion certificate.

The class is held at the AARP office in Lihu‘e behind the Shell station on Kuhio Highway. There is a $10 fee for textbooks and materials. People who wish to attend should register with the AARP office in Lihu‘e by calling 246-4500 between 9 a.m. and noon. If no answer, call Juanice at 822-1213.
