Congratulations to Janice Doi, who won last week’s Football Frenzy. Doi, a multi-winner from last year, predicted the most wins out of everyone who played last week — tying me with 11 out of 13.
That puts me at the top at 18-8 since our first week. Radio personality Ron Wiley is currently second at 17-9 and TGI Web master Richard Stein is 15-11.
Doi’s only ballot flaws were the Florida/Tennessee and Jacksonville Jaguars/Indianapolis Colts games.
I picked the Colts, too, so I don’t what is going on with them.
Joining us this week on the panel is Brian Cadiam of Kapa‘a. This also marks the return of the University of Hawai‘i Warriors in their Western Athletic Conference opener against San Jose State at Aloha Stadium. I admitted being a homer when I picked Hawai‘i over Oregon State and I can’t help but be one again. I just don’t think Hawai‘i is as bad as they look on paper.
Either way, there are many more weeks to come in this football season, so we’ll see how things go.
