Shirley Mary Barino
Shirley Mary Barino died Sept. 9, 2008, at the age of 65 at Maui Memorial Hospital. Born March 6, 1943, she worked at Wal-Mart on Kaua‘i for many years.
She was preceded in death by parents Prospero and Sally Lumabao and brother Eddie Lumabao.
Barino is survived by husband Anjil Barino Jr. of Maui, daughters Loma (Frank) Lopes, Sandie (Edmund) Sumalpong and Joclyne (Lou) Espanto, all of Honolulu; sons Myron (Marlene) Barino and Almerick Barino Sr., both of Kaua‘i; sister Mildred Vaughn of Indiana; brothers Muricio Actuca of Florida, George (Lynette) Lumabao of Makaweli; sister-in-law Violet Lumabao of Hanama‘ulu; hanai niece Desiree (Kawila) Palama of Kaua‘i; daughter-in-law Dela Barino of Maui; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kalaheo. Services to follow.

Colin Kiyoshi Sunada
Colin Kiyoshi Sunada, of Lihu‘e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 26, 2008, at the age of 33. Born in Lihu‘e on March 17, 1975, he was a program coordinator for the Personal Assistance Program with ARC of Kaua‘i.
He is survived by wife Marry and daughter Lilliana of Lihu‘e; parents Dennis and Sadie; brothers Lane and Jared, both of Wailua; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Kapa‘a Hongwanji Mission. A service officiated by Rev. Kosho Yagi will begin at 4 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and the family asks that flowers be omitted.

Crisanta Macalma
Crisanta Rambayon Macalma of Waimea died Sept 8, 2008, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. Born Oct. 22, 1916, in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by husband Federico Macalma of Waimea; daughters Pacita (Guillermo) Abrogena of the Philippines and Dolly (Michael) Tambio of Waimea; son Nicolas (Rose) Macalma of the Philippines; grandchildren Garry (Crissa) Abrogena of the Philippines, Glenda (Nelson) Academia of the Philippines, Grace (Jayson) Valera of the Philippines, Raquel (Opie) Cope of Oregon, Jennifer Tambio of Arizona, Nickson (Honeylor) Macalma of the Philippines and Norelyn Macalma of Canada; great-grandchildren Nedda Gayle Academia, Nina Gwyneth Academia and Jaylord Abrogena, all of the Philippines; sisters Visitacion (Jose) Rambaud and Iniesta (Fernandico) Dumlos of the Philippines; niece Lourdes (Gaspan) Rivera of Maui and several nieces and nephews of the Philippines.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha; Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
