Rip Curl GromSearch heads to Lahaina for stop No. 4

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Stop No. 4 of the 2008 Rip Curl GromSearch heads to Maui’s Lahaina Harbor, and features the talents of Kaua‘i’s Koa Smith, Dylan Goodale and home-town boy Tanner Hendrickson.

“I’m really excited to surf another GromSearch event,” said the newly crowned NSSA Open Boys and Explorer Menehune champion, Koa Smith, in a release. “I’ll be with all my boys out there, the Harbor is a fun spot to surf, and I want to qualify for the national final.”

Winners will receive cash prizes, new Boost Mobile phones and an invitation to the national final for the top two finishers in each division.

Immediately after the event, the awards will be hosted at the Rip Curl Surf Center Maui, where everyone can check out the premiere of Rip Curl’s latest Search flick, “Somewhere…the Movie.”
