O‘ahu’s Parker McLachlin eagled the first hole of his back nine yesterday en route to shooting two consecutive birdies and finishing 4-under 66 at the AT&T National at the Congressional Country Club.
That score and yesterday’s 71 combined put him at 3 under for the tournament to make the cut for the 11th time this year. McLachlin sits six shots off leaders Jeff Overton and Tom Pernice, Jr. His highest finish this year came at the AT&T Classic in May when he finished tied for fifth.
O‘ahu’s other golfer, Kane‘ohe’s Dean Wilson also made the cut yesterday after finishing at even par and 1 under for the tournament.
This is Wilson’s 13th time making the cut this year.
McLachlin tees of today at 6:30 HST with Robert Garrigus and Wilson tees off with Fred Couples at 5:40 HST.
