UH’s Kaufman advances to finals

EUGENE, Ore. — University of Hawai‘i’s Amber Kaufman continued her remarkable run at the Summer Olympic Games by advancing to the high jump finals at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Kaufman, a starter on the nationally ranked Rainbow Wahine volleyball team, was one of 14 athletes to advance to Friday’s finals after clearing 5-feet-11 1/2. From there, the top three finishers qualify for the Olympics this August in Beijing, China.
