The Lihu‘e Baseball League Mustang All-Stars suffered its first loss at the Mustang State Tournament yesterday after falling to Mililani 13-3 in a game shortened by the 10-run ruling.
Earlier in the day, the LBL Mustang All-Stars chalked up its fourth win of the tournament behind the pitching of Kurt Rapozo, who led the LBL team to a 16-3 win over Ewa Beach in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
According to the League Lineup Web site where LBL statistics are posted, the LBL Mustang All-Stars advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Hilo 18-3 behind a 4-4 batting performance from Kurt Rapozo and a Mason Chow in-the-park homerun, Saturday.
Earlier, the LBL Mustang All-Stars opened with a 2-0 standing in pool play after allowing just one hit in its 11-1 win over KAC and edging out Aiea 16-15 on Friday.
The Mustang State Tournament runs through tomorrow with the winner advancing to the West Zone Tournament at Chino Hills, Calif.
